Views of an object

Real life objects have three dimensions (height, width and depth), but when we draw them we can use only two (in the whiteboard, in our notebook). One way to solve it is to draw the object several times from different point of views, taking into account only two dimensions each time. That way we get the different views of the object: front, top and side (left or right) views.

In order to learn the most important types of structures, we are going to do this activity:

2. Classify the pictures above in 7 different groups, according to the type of its structure. In each of the seven groups you have to put 5 pictures. (you can number the pictures from 1 to 35 so you can put 5 numbers in each group).
3. What is the most important characteristic in each group? Write a sentence explaining the similarities in the structures in each group.

How a mechanical watch works

PRACTICES: SIMULATION OF CIRCUITS WITH CROCODILE CLIPS:
  1. Save the document Practices with Crocodile Clips in your computer (and print it at home!!).
  2. Simulate the circuits in the previous document and answer the questions in your notebook/photocopies ((if you are using your notebook, you have to write down the question too).
  3. If you have to do some practices at home, you can use the program Yenka, instead of Crocodile Clips (you can download Yenka from this website)
